I’m beyond thrilled to share that my latest single, Mixed Signals, has not only been released but has also been featured on the Rising Artists blog! As an artist, it’s always a special moment to see your work recognized by others, and having my music spotlighted on such an influential platform feels truly rewarding. The blog highlighted the essence of the track and gave readers a glimpse into the artistry behind the music. I’m excited to bring you into the story behind Mixed Signals and what it means to me.
Mixed Signals was a labor of love, where every element was a reflection of my journey and emotions. I wrote, performed, mixed, and mastered the track myself, pouring my heart into each step of the process. The song is about navigating the ups and downs of trying to connect with someone in a city as dynamic as Los Angeles, where moments are fleeting and people are always on the move. It captures that feeling of being introverted yet stepping out of my comfort zone in the most honest, fun-loving way I could express.
Rising Artists blog perfectly described it as a "pure digital adventure," and I couldn’t agree more. The production journey allowed me to explore new dimensions in sound and storytelling. In this track, I’m not just a singer; I’m a storyteller, a producer, and a dreamer. By incorporating singing and rap elements, I aimed to add layers that keep listeners engaged from start to finish.
The lyrics reflect my personal experiences in LA’s social scene. Growing up in a bustling city full of life, I’ve always felt a little shy when approaching someone new, especially in settings like bars or parties. There’s an underlying excitement but also a vulnerability in those moments, and that’s what I wanted to bring out in the song. I wanted listeners to feel the awkwardness, the hope, and the adrenaline of making a connection with someone you’re drawn to.
The Rising Artists review mentioned the standout line: “I was stalling for more time/ cuz your looks, they got me hooked, I’m your catch tonight.” These lyrics capture that tension and the desire to put yourself out there despite the nerves.
What excites me most about Mixed Signals is the blend of styles I managed to achieve. The song transitions from smooth melodies into rap at around the 2:10 mark, adding a different energy to the track. I wanted to surprise listeners and offer something that felt fresh and original. It’s not just a song—it’s an experience. That’s what makes it special; it’s not just about the music but about telling a story in a way that’s entertaining and relatable.
Rising Artists recognized this, stating, “This track is perfect for those looking for a new artist that can bring something to the table that others often struggle with: originality, great structure, and even tone.” It’s this recognition that fuels my passion even more, inspiring me to keep pushing the boundaries and deliver music that resonates.
As I continue on my musical path, I’m excited to share that this is just the beginning. I have more projects in the works, and I’m constantly evolving as an artist. The reception of Mixed Signals has been overwhelmingly positive, and I’m motivated to bring more unique sounds and stories to the world.
